A Treasure Deep by Alton Gansky (2003) a Christian mystery novel.
This book delves into a mystery that cost one man his life and witnessed by one who is able to carry out the quest for a treasure that is priceless. Mix a savant idiot boy with extroardinary gifts, an archeologist, a man whose interest in staying alive creates a mania for the treasure, a man with leadership qualities and a strident mayor whose concern abounds for her small town, and you have mystery - intrigue - and a page-turning story that captures the mind!

From Nelson's Quick Reference Bible Handbook

Forgiven by Karen Kingsbury is the second book in her Firstborn series. If you enjoyed the five books in the Redemption series, then you’ll certainly want to continue following the Baxter family and their friends in this follow-up series.

In this newest book by one of my favorite Christian fiction writers, the reader is encouraged to consider what “forgiving” and “being forgiven” really mean. Whether it’s a young man’s realization of his need to forgive his adoptive and birth parents, the need to forgive a drunken young man for his horrific actions, or the need to forgive parents for a long-kept secret---the author has covered it all in this book.
As the flawed hero in this series, Dayne Matthews, examines his past and contemplates his future, the reader is pulled in. Dayne realizes there is more to life than his Hollywood roles, but he is uncertain where to turn, even venturing into considering the cultish Kabbalah trend that is attracting many celebrities. Of course, there is a love interest in this book, too, but I won’t give you those details. You’ll have to read the book yourself! It’s available in our church library.
