By now you should have received your first "For His Glory" campaign newsletter. The campaign leadership team hopes this helped you understand who we are and what we are about. In addition, we hope you had a chance to attend the Responsible Stewardship Workshop that our consultant, Ronnie Epps, put on for us on Wednesday the 27th. What a blessing to hear from God's Word, on biblical stewardship. We hope this helps you understand our objective: To challenge the people of Rogers Christian Church to make three year commitments over and above present giving, and retire our existing debt. Ronnie emphasized that this campaign is "NOT EQUAL GIFTS, BUT EQUAL SACRIFICE".

Now we cannot reach what we need if we don't have goals. Our Elders, Minister and Staff, members of the leadship committee and I urge each member of RCC to seek God's leadership concerning their commitment of sacrifice which will honor our Lord, bring joy to them, and help meet our church's need. So after deep prayer the folowing goals have been laid out to assist us in our efforts. See above.

These goals are challenging for our church and for each family. They will be reached as each person commits themselves sacrificially to obtain our objective. I urge you to continue to be in prayer for "For His Glory:. I know you will be blessed.

In all for Him,

Kevin Fieloder, Campaign Director
Why Should We Support This Campaign?

This is a great question and deserves an honest and straight forward answer. Rogers Christian Church seeks to honor God by honoring His Word. We obey by faithfully preaching the Word of God, by providing mutual support in Christian fellowship, and by ministering to the spiritual and physical needs of others. We believe God honored our commitment to Him by providing through faithful people the "Bridge", our all purpose facility to be used to the advancement of His kingdom. As we have said before, we are seeing this advancement happening and, loved ones, it is just the beginning.

We stepped out in faith. All of us have already been blessed by that step. The next step is to continue as stewards that honor God. One very real way to do that is to pay off this debt. We do not want the financial responsibility that we have taken on to encumber what God wants to do through us in the future. We desired to be part of something meaningful and significant. As the Lord reveals this plan for us, we want to be in the position to respond. So, let us be faithful and diligent to his goal of debt payoff. Let us be faithful and diligent to accomplish what He has put before us.

Remember, it is not equal gifts but equal sacrifice.

From Your Minister,
Jack

"For His Glory" Banquet News

The climax of our campaign promotion will be a Banqet at "The Bridge" on Sunday, May 4th at 6:30 pm. As your Banquet Director, I am planning a tremendous event for all our adults and youth who are in the sixth grade or older.

While adults and youth are enjoying the Banquet, childrenm, 5th grade and under will be cared for at the Children's Party, held in the Fellowship Hall. The Children's Party Chairperson, Barbie Humphre, is planning to provide excellent childcare for nursery-age children and exciting activities for the older children as well.

Every family is invited to attend. There will be no charge for the meal. Jack Galbraith is planning the program for the Banquet. This will be a great time of fellowing information and inspiration. The program will be very meaningful as we focus on what God has done through the ministry of our church and what we expect Him to do in the future."

Special Banquet invitations will be mailed soon, and hostesses will be calling to take reservations. Mark May 4th on your calendar, and plan to attend.

All "For His Glory",
Melissa Turner

What Is My Part?

As we draw closer and closer to our time of commitment, and as we look forward to our time of celebration, the reverberating question each person will be asked and will ask themselves is, "What is my part?" To begin, simply asking yourself that question means that you are on the right path!

Asking what our role is in this is paramount to us being obedient to christ in this endeavor that our leadershp has deemed necessary for our future expansion and current focus on good steward ship. While this question is simply asked in four short words, the answer is anything but simple. It is an answer that will expand and reduce probably many times over and over in your head. Each individual must begin the process of asking themselves this question NOW, so that the answer can be tested in thought, and bathed in prayer.

Each of us has been blessed and has received blessings from God that are incredible. The big question is which of these blessings and gifts will we use to make an eternal impact?

While gym floors and classrooms don't literally translate into eternal life change, they can be used as tools and instruments for that very purpose.

So what is your part? To take something that cannot literally make an eternal impact (our money) and allow it to be used as a tool or instrument for that very purpose -- eternal life change.

Your part right now? Prayer! Pray to our Lord that He would guide you in this endeavor and help lead you to a God-honoring decision. After all, it is "For His Glory".
